The Wayne High Speech Team competed at the Boone Central Invitational in Albion on Jan. 24.
Wayne brought home two event championships: Sidney Nelson in Novice Extemp.; and Kynlee Schmale in Novice Persuasive. In the team sweepstakes, Wayne finished in sixth place in the Varsity division.
Next up for the Blue Devil Speakers is the Hartington/Hartington Cedar Catholic Invite on Saturday, Jan. 31 before the team’s home show on the evening of Friday, Feb. 6.
