Wayne State finishes with .372 hitting percentage during 3-0 home sweep

After playing a handful of matches out of state, #8 Wayne State College began their home NSIC volleyball schedule to open the weekend.

From Rice Auditorium, WSC entertained Minot State Friday night.

Wayne State College secured the home sweep to improve to 9-2 (3-0 NSIC). The Beavers fell to 1-9 (0-3 NSIC).

Scores of the match favored WSC 25-6, 25-16, 25-9.

Channatee Robles (.450/eight digs) and Maggie Brahmer (.529/two blocks/one dig) both recorded a team-high 10 kills; Molly Romano posted 37 assists, five digs and two blocks as Brooke Peltz led the team in digs with 14.

Brooklyn Kusler added nine kills and two digs; Taya Beller tallied nine kills and one dig; Chloe Hanel had two kills and Ella Myler tacked on two kills and a dig. Other digs came from Anna Borner (four), Allie Petry (four), Jordie Nekl (two), Taylor Bunjer (one) and Kaelyn Anderson (one).

Romano and Kusler both had three service aces, Beller added two aces as Peltz, Robles, Nekl, Rhianna Wilhelm and Ava Spies all had an ace.

Wayne State College outhit Minot State University, .372 to .056. WSC also held advantages in points (57-25), kills (42-22), assists (41-18), aces (13-0) and digs (44-41).
