Wayne State women’s golf coach Joey Baldwin announced the signings of two high school student-athletes to national letters of intent to attend Wayne State College and compete in women’s golf for the 2020-21 academic year.
The first two recruits for the newly-revived team are Tricia Hemann from Chanhassen, Minn., and Jazmine Taylor of Omaha.
“I am very excited to announce our first two women’s golf commitments,” remarked Baldwin. “Building a brand new program isn’t easy and the first recruiting class is very important. The addition of Jazmine and Tricia puts us in a great position.”
Baldwin added, “Both girls come from very competitive high school programs and they are ready to compete at the college level right now. Jazmine and Tricia are great drivers of the ball and extremely accurate off the tee. I will rely on both players to provide leadership and direction for our team. I am looking forward to helping both players expand their golf game. Both players will be great assets to Wayne State College.”
