The Wayne State women's rugby team is once again in the semifinals of the National Small College Rugby Organization 7-on-7's national tournament after winning their pool and advancing with a win in the quarterfinals in Pittsburgh, Pa.
The Wildcats went 3-0 in pool play Saturday morning, defeating California (Pa.) 31-7, outscoring Scranton 25-5 and earning a 26-10 win over New York-Rochester. In quartferfinal action Saturday afternoon, the Wildcats dominated Dennison of Ohio in a 44-0 shutout.
Wayne State will face York University in a 9 a.m. semifinal on Sunday, with the winner advancing to face either Lee (Tenn.) or Simpson (Iowa) in the championship game at 11 a.m.
