Wayne State College announced some schedule changes for softball and track due to the recent weather.
The Wildcats’ home-opening softball doubleheader with Augustana that was scheduled for Tuesday has been moved back to Wednesday, with games at 2 and 4 p.m. at the Chapman Complex. Augustana comes to town with an 18-6 record to face the 6-13 Wildcats.
The Wildcat track and field teams will also see a schedule change this week, as the Southwest Minnesota State Mustang Open has been cancelled due to eight inches of snow in the area. The Wildcats will now head to the Alex Francis Classic at Fort Hays State in Hays, Kan., on Friday, with field events starting at 12 p.m. and running events beginning at 3 p.m.
