Wayne State College remained seventh in the second NCAA Division II Central Region volleyball rankings released Wednesday afternoon.
The Wildcats, ranked eighth in this week’s AVCA Division II Top 25 Coaches’ Poll, are 21-6 overall and 19-6 in games played within the Central Region. There was no change in order of the top 10 teams in the regional poll with Concordia-St. Paul first followed by Minnesota Duluth, Southwest Minnesota State, Nebraska-Kearney and Winona State in the top five. Augustana is sixth followed by Wayne State, Central Oklahoma, Washburn and Northwest Missouri State.
The top eight teams from the region will advance to the NCAA Central Region Tournament December 1-3 at the site of the top seed.
Wayne State will conclude the regular season at home this weekend hosting MSU Moorhead Friday at 7 p.m. and No. 20 Northern State Saturday in a 2 p.m. contest.
