Wayne drew the No. 6 seed and will host No. 11 seed Cozad in the C-6 district softball series that will be played Friday at the Wayne Summer Sports Complex.
The Blue Devils finished as runner-up in the C-5 subdistrict here Monday and drew one of six wild cards for the 16-team district format. The Blue Devils and Haymakers will play starting at 11 a.m. on Friday in a best-of-three series, with the winner advancing to next week’s state tournament in Hastings.
