Wayne High is the top seed for the Mid State Conference softball tournament that runs Saturday in Pierce.
The Blue Devils will take on the winner of the 9 a.m. game between No. 4 seed Boone Central/Newman Grove and No. 5 seed Pierce at 10:45 a.m. No. 2 seed Guardian Angels Central Catholic meets No. 3 seed O’Neill in a 9 a.m. game to open the other half of the five-team double-elimination bracket. The finals are set for 4 p.m.

Game 1 – (4) BC/NG vs. (5) Pierce, 9 a.m., north field
Game 2 – (2) GACC vs. (3) O’Neill, 9 a.m., south field
Game 3 – Game 1 winner vs. (1) Wayne, 10:45 a.m., north field
Game 4 – Game 1 loser vs. Game 2 loser, 10:45 a.m., south field
Game 5 – Game 2 winner vs. Game 3 winner, 12:30 p.m., north field
Game 6 – Game 4 winner vs. Game 3 loser, 12:30 p.m., south field
Game 7 – Game 6 winner vs. Game 5 loser, 2:15 p.m., north field
Game 8 – Championship game, 4 p.m., north field
