Wayne White Broncos score 15 runs during home victory, Miller with big night at the plate

Following a weather postponement, the Wayne White Broncos youth baseball team made up a Tri County League outing.

From the Summer Sports Complex, Wayne White hosted North Bend Black June 21.

Wayne snapped a three-game losing streak (3-7) thanks to a 15-4 victory over North Bend Black.

The Wayne White Broncos led 1-0 after the opening inning and then produced three more runs in the third to lead 4-0. North Bend Black tied the game up with four runs in the fourth before Wayne White answered thanks to an 11-run fifth inning. Final favored the Wayne White Broncos winning 15-4 and winning the hit department, 13-4.

Merrick Miller doubled three times, drove in four runs and scored four times; Benjamin Patefield singled three times, drove in three runs and scored twice; Harley Poland singled twice, drove in two runs and scored as Hudson Kramer singled twice, drove in a run and scored twice.

Max Judd singled and drove in two runs; Lincoln Nelson singled, drove in a run and scored twice; Drue Jensen singled and scored as single runs came from Caysen Gamble, Trey Wardlow and Mason Nelson.

Jensen (71 pitches) picked up the complete game victory in five innings allowing four runs (three earned) off four hits while striking out eight batters and walking one.
