Tri County youth baseball opened their seasons on May 14 where the Wayne White Broncos and Didgets took to the road.
From Wisner, the White Broncos came back from 9-0 in two innings to win 13-11 thanks to a pair of go-ahead runs in the top of the fifth while the Wayne White Didgets also won 4-1 over Wisner scoring all four of their runs in the top of the third inning.
In the Broncos outing, Sy Chase doubled twice, drove in a run and scored; Mason Nelson singled, doubled, drove in a run and scored three times; Braden McManigal singled twice, drove in a run and scored three times as Ryan Loberg singled twice, drove in four runs and scored twice.
Isaiah Wright and Aden Greve both singled and drove in a run; Aiden Kesting accounted for two RBI and a run scored; Caysen Gamble added a RBI and run scored as Gage Kimmel scored twice.
Loberg (43 pitches) started the opening inning allowing six earned runs off five hits while striking out two batters, walking three and hitting one. Chase (75) worked four innings allowing five runs (three earned) off five hits while striking out and walking five batters each as well as hitting two.
During the Didgets game, Maxx Wohlers singled, drove in two runs and scored while Kirby Gubbels singled and drove in a run.
Weston Nelson singled and scored; Brett DePew accounted for a RBI as Trexton Ocampo and Conner Fox both scored.
DePew (16 pitches) started an inning not allowing a run or a hit. Baylen Biermann (51) followed the next three innings allowing an earned run off three hits while striking out eight batters and walking one. Wohlers (22) closed out the final two scoreless innings not allowing a hit while striking out five batters.
