Wayne wrestlers finish eighth at Schuyler

The Wayne High wrestlers brought home six medals and finished eighth in Saturday’s Schuyler Invitational.

Mikey Reyes was the Blue Devils’ lone individual champion on the day, earning an 8-4 decision in the finals to win the 220-pound title. Hunter Jorgensen was a consolation champion at heavyweight, winning his last match on a forfeit.

Cameron Muhs posted a fourth-place finish at 120 pounds, while sixth-place finishes were earned by Quintin Billheimer (106), Gage Schultz (126) and Berto Vergara (195).

Next action for the Blue Devils is next Saturday at the Neligh-Oakdale Invitational.
