Members of the Wayne Wrestling Club competed at the 2025 AAU youth state tournament this past weekend.
From the Buffalo County Fairgrounds in Kearney, the Wayne Wrestling Club showcased nine in action on Sunday.
Nyla Bolles (9-12 girls, 140) earned a bronze medal while Grant Maas (9-12 boys, 150) placed sixth on the podium.
Wayne native, Essynce Owens-Webb represented the Nebraska Wrestling Academy with a bronze medal at 9-12 girls, 105.
Other team scoring for the Wayne Wrestling Club came from Lucille Ocampo (6-8 girls, 120); Megan Magnuson (9-12 girls, 135); Anna Naeve (9-12 girls, 145); Grady Maas (9-12 boys, 106) and Noah Magnuson (9-12 boys, 132) while additional competitors included Trecyn Ocampo (9-12 boys, 132) and Taven Ocampo (9-12 boys, 165).
