From a road triangular to road invite action, the Wayne High girls and boys wrestlers were kept busy on back-to-back days.
Both teams were in Wisner on Dec. 4 for a triangular.
The Blue Devil girls won both their duals over Summerland (60-24) and the NEN co-op of Wisner-Pilger/Pender (51-24) as did the Wayne boys against Summerland (66-18) and Wisner-Pilger (51-30).
In the girls division, wrestlers who went 2-0 in matches contested were Reagan McManigal (125), Megan Magnuson (135) and Anna Naeve (145).
From the boys competition, two wrestlers went 2-0 in contested matches being Emmanuel Gonzalez (113) as well as Ethan Gregory (132).
Moving into Dec. 5, the Wayne girls finished runner-up at the Doane High School Invite in Crete among the 22 teams with 130 points as the Blue Devil boys placed eighth among 14 boys teams at the Lakeview Invite in Columbus (86.5 pts).
Top medalists were Nyla Bolles (140) earning a first place finish, Anna Naeve (145) and Alexandria Ziska (170) both captured third as well as fourth place finishes by Lupita Alba (110) and Megan Magnuson (135).
Top medalists were Grant Maas (157) winning his weight class while Grady Maas (106) finished runner-up. Emmanuel Gonzaelz (113) took third as Ethan Gregory (126) and Trecyn Ocampo (144) both placed fifth.
Upcoming wrestling action includes a home dual on Dec. 11 against Norfolk Catholic (girls start at 6 p.m.) while the Wayne girls (North Bend) and Blue Devil boys (Holdrege) will both be in action on Dec. 13 at 9:30 a.m.
