Summer postseason softball continued for a trio of Dirt Devil softball teams, Dirt Devil 16/18s traveled to Sioux Falls, SD, the Max "Bud" Greve Woodbat Tourney was in full swing for Wayne and Wakefield American Legion baseball which also featured a Didget tourney team from Wayne and a pair of Northeast Nebraska Crush youth baseball teams were in two separate locations.
Back in Blair for the District 8/10 Tourney, Dirt Devil 14s and Dirt Devil 12s were in action as Dirt Devil 10s Black returned to Arlington.
The Dirt Devil 14s started with back-to-back elimination wins of 13-2 (Chaos Town) and 11-4 (Mead) before being eliminated by Nebraska Quakes 13U - Oldehoeft by the score of 13-7.
The Dirt Devils are now 16-7-1 on the season.
The Dirt Devil 12s went 0-2 in districts following a Saturday defeat of 7-3 against Nebraska Venom Blue.
Dirt Devil 12U is now 0-21-1.
Dirt Devil 10s Black competed in the winner's bracket but dropped back-to-back games of 15-1 (Blair Chaos - Chance) and 9-8 (Logan View Blue).
Dirt Devil 10s Black is now 10-11.
From Sioux Falls, SD, Dirt Devil 16/18s went 2-1 on day one of the SEFSA Summer Showdown.
The Dirt Devils first lost 4-0 against Yankton Fury Lancers 15U, followed by back-to-back wins of 14-1 over WNS Elite 18U and 12-2 against Sturgis Slam.
Dirt Devil 16/18s improved to then 8-5 on the season.
From Hank Overin Field in Wayne, Rolling Hills Supply Wayne Post 43 Seniors began pool play with a 15-0 shutout victory over Wisner-Pilger/Dodge-Howells and also edged Sutton, 5-4.
The Wayne Seniors are now 8-1.
Due to field conditions and potential of location changes on Sunday, Post 43 ended the woodbat tourney with their 2-0 pool play record and 'conceded' to the Pender Seniors who advanced in Sunday's finals to face Malcolm.
The Wayne Juniors finished their pool play with an afternoon 6-1 victory against Sutton to advance to the finals.
Back at Eaton Field in Wakefield, the Post 81 Seniors finished their pool play with a night cap loss against Malcolm of 8-3 to fall to then 3-3.
Also in Wakefield, the Wayne Didget Tourney team was in action and dropped a 4-2 final against Wakefield.
From the Lincoln Sox NIT, Northeast Nebraska Crush 12U went 0-3 on the day and fell to 3-9 on the season.
Crush 12U lost 9-1 to Millard United Elite, 3-1 against Battle Blue and 8-0 against Millard United Elite a second time.
During the Omaha Stampede, Northeast Nebraska Crush 9U went 1-0-1 during Saturday action.
Crush 9U first played to a 6-6 tie against MU Legends Blue before picking up a 12-11 victory over Prime Navy to improve to then 8-9-2.
