The Wayne State volleyball team remained at No. 15 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Div. II Top 25 coaches poll released Monday afternoon.
The Wildcats went 1-1 last week to close the regular season, falling at home in four sets to No. 11 St. Cloud State Friday night, followed by a three-game sweep over Minnesota Duluth Saturday.
The Wildcats are one of five Northern Sun Conference schools in this week’s top 25, led by No. 8 Winona State. Also in are No. 11 St. Cloud State, No. 13 Concordia-St. Paul and No. 16 Southwest Minnesota State.
Other Central Region schools in the top 25 include MIAA schools Central Missouri (3), Northwest Missouri State (4), Washburn (5) and Nebraska-Kearney (12), along with Great American Conference leader Oklahoma Baptist at No. 23.
The 21-7 Wildcats face Northern State in the first round of the Northern Sun Conference tournament on Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
