The Wayne State volleyball team remained second in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Div. II Top 25 Coaches Poll.
The Wildcats collected 15 first-place votes and 1,141 points in voting from coaches across the country, trailing only MSU Denver. The Wildcats continue to lead a group of five Northern Sun Conference teams in this week’s top 10, which includes No. 3 Concordia-St. Paul, No. 4 Minnesota Duluth, No. 7 Southwest Minnesota State and No. 9 St. Cloud State.
Other Central Region teams ranked in the top 25 include MIAA schools Northwest Missouri State (10), Nebraska-Kearney (12), Washburn (20) and Central Oklahoma (21), and 25th-ranked Harding from the Great American Conference (GAC). Also receiving votes this week were Central Missouri out of the MIAA and Sioux Falls from the NSIC.
