The Wayne State volleyball team will carry the No. 3 seed into the Elite Eight for the NCAA Div. II Women’s Volleyball Championships that begin Thursday in Moon Township, Pa.
The 31-2 Wildcats will face sixth-seed Cal State Los Angeles in an 11 a.m. Central Time contest, with the winner moving on to Friday’s 4 p.m. semifinal against either No. 2 seed Missouri-St. Louis or No. 7 Anderson out of South Carolina.
The other half of the bracket includes defending champion and No. 4-seeded West Texas A&M taking on No. 5 seed Clarion at 4 p.m., with top-seeded Tampa facing No. 8 seed Bentley at 6:30 p.m. The winners of those two games play the second semifinal at 6:30 p.m.
The finals are set for Saturday at 4 p.m.
