With a trio of more matches remaining on the regular season schedule after Friday, #10 Wayne State College hosted their senior night outing to open the weekend.
From Rice Auditorium, WSC welcomed MSU Moorhead.
The Wildcats made quick work of the Dragons in a 3-0 sweep to improve to 20-5 (12-3 NSIC). MSU Moorhead fell to 9-14 (4-11 NSIC).
Scores of the match favored WSC 25-15, 25-11, 25-9. This also marked the sixth consecutive year and 18th time in the past 19 years that the Wildcats have recorded a 20-win season.
Seniors Maggie Brahmer, Taya Beller, Brooke Peltz, Allie Petry, Brooklyn Kusler and Rihanna Wilhelm were all recognized on senior night.
Earlier this season, the Wildcats won in four sets at the Dragons on September 20.
Channatee Robles recorded a team-high 11 kills to go along with seven digs and one block; Molly Romano posted 33 assists, nine digs, four blocks (one solo) and two kills as Brooke Peltz led WSC in digs with 11.
Maggie Brahmer (.833) followed with 10 kills, six blocks and three digs; Taya Beller (.769) added 10 kills and two solo blocks; Brooklyn Kusler tallied four kills, four digs and two bocks; Chloe Hanel tacked on four kills as Laney Kathol had one kill and one block. Other digs came from Anna Borner (six), Allie Petry (five), Ava Spies (four) and Jordie Nekl (one). Taylor Bunjer also had a block.
Robles finished with three service aces, Rihanna Wilhelm added two aces as Borner and Peltz both had an ace.
Wayne State College outhit MSU Moorhead, .444 to .019. WSC also head advantages in points (59-28), kills (42-24), aces (7-2), blocks (10-2), assists (39-22) and digs (50-31).
