Ahead of a weeknight match early in the week, #6 Wayne State College closed out a back-to-back NSIC volleyball road trip over the weekend.
From BSU Gymnasium in Bemidji, Minnesota, WSC visited Bemidji State University on Saturday.
Wayne State College picked up the 3-0 sweep to improve to 12-2 (6-0 NSIC) as the Beavers fell to 5-7 (0-4 NSIC).
Scores of the match favored WSC 25-21, 25-17, 25-15.
Maggie Brahmer (.579) recorded 12 kills, a dig and five blocks (three solo); Molly Romano posted 32 assists, seven digs, one kill and one block as Brooke Peltz led the team in digs with 19.
Channatee Robles followed with nine kills, three digs and a block; Brooklyn Kusler added eight kills and four digs; Taya Beller tallied five kills, one dig and two blocks (one solo) as Taylor Bunjer tacked on two kills and a block. Other digs came from Anna Borner (six) and Jordie Nekl (three).
Romano and Peltz both had two service aces as Kusler and Beller each had an ace.
WSC outhit BSU, .384 to .187. Wayne State College also held advantages in points (50-46), aces (6-5), blocks (7-2) and digs (44-38).
