Wildcats win twice Saturday

Both Wayne State College volleyball and football were on the road Nov. 8.

From Bismarck, North Dakota, #5 WSC volleyball won their 11th straight and picked up their 14th 3-0 sweep of the season during a victory at University of Mary (25-16, 27-25, 25-8).

The Wildcats (24-3, 17-1 NSIC) will close out their regular season hosting Jamestown (ND) on Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. followed by #22 Northern State on Nov. 15 at 5 p.m.

From Bob Young Field in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Wayne State College used six rushing touchdowns winning 42-13 at Sioux Falls.

Redshirt junior running back Dawson Forgy scored five times on the ground (35 yards, two yards, one yard in first half; 60 yards seven yards in second half). He set a single-season record with now 19 rushing touchdowns (previously held in 1999) and five rushing scores in one game.

WSC (6-4/6-3 NSIC/4-1 South) will close out their season hosting #5 Augustana on Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. during the Egg Bowl/Senior Day game. The winner will earn a share of the NSIC South Division title with Minnesota State-Mankato.
