Roy Reed Unit 252, American Legion Auxiliary in Winside will meet on Saturday, Aug. 1 at the Winside Legion Post at 10:15 a.m.
Topics on the agenda include, but are not limited to, centerpieces for the Norfolk Veterans Home, Sept. 13 Winside Legion Family/Community picnic in celebration of America's 250th years and review of the auxiliary's governing document. Officers hope many members will be able to attend to get these finalized.
A new year has arrived within The American Legion Family and that can only mean, it is time to send in your 2027 membership dues. If you have received your notice from National, take time this week to get your dues mailed into Winside.
The fair season is coming to the close and that only means school will soon be back and open for a new year for everyone's children and grandchildren.
Be mindful of their presence and take extra precautions when in the area of all schools and intersections. Have a safe and happy year to all.
