The Winside boys cross country team came away with a runner-up finish Thursday in the Wisner-Pilger Invitational at the Indian Trails Golf Club in Beemer.
WInside placed three runners in the top 10, as Dylan Brogren finished sixth, JaShaun Vyborny was seventh and Alex Carlson placed eighth. Sean Mann rounded out the WInside scoring by placing 28th, while Cody Frederick (34th) and Zach Morris (40th) also competed.
For Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, Ryan Bathke led the team’s sixth-place finish by finishing 20th out of 49 runners. Landon Boysen was 26th, Karsen Klooz placed 33rd, Jusitn Kinkaid was 36th and Logan Hansen was 37th.
In girls action, Kaylie Naeve placed 21st for LCC, while Vanessa Cruz was 24th.
