Winside boys wrestling drops three duals, prepare for Wisner-Pilger Invite Saturday

Following a home dual earlier in the week, Winside boys wrestling continued their home schedule hosting three other area teams.

From Winside, the Wildcats welcomed Pender, Randolph and Stanton on Thursday.

The Winside boys wrestling team suffered three losses of 42-24 to Pender, 42-24 to Randolph and 48-23 to Stanton.

In the loss to Pender, contested match wins came from Landon Carlson (132) by fall (1:37) over Kolt Smith; Stratton Sellin (144) by fall (2:34) over Brodrick Crippen; Korbin Carlson (150) by fall (3:54) over Owen Larsen and Asher Uttecht (157) by fall (1:46) over Bryan Godinez.

Mason Edwards (138) lost by fall (1:59) to Gauge Thomsen as William Pace (175) lost by fall (1:38) to Ryan Linkous. Pender also won 190, 215, 285, 120 and 165 by forfeit while both teams double forfeit 106, 113 and 126.

During the loss against Randolph, contested match wins came from Edwards (138) by fall (3:14) over Tate Brodersen; Sellin (144) by fall (1:50) over Elijah Bermel; Korbin Carlson (150) by fall (3:01) over Owen Junck and Uttecht (165) by fall (3:03) over Ty Sievers.

Landon Carlson (132) lost by fall (5:07) to Cole Jensen and Pace (190) lost by fall (1:08) to Gage Jensen. Randolph also won 215, 106, 120, 157 and 175 by forfeit while both teams double forfeit 285, 113 and 126.

From the loss with Stanton, contested match wins came from Landon Carlson (132) by fall (1:47) over Will Bryant and Korbin Carlson (150) by tech fall (17-2, 2:00) over Noah Schmidt. Winside also won 138 and 144 by forfeit.

Uttecht (157) lost by fall (3:46) to Kaden Kment. Stanton also won 285, 113, 120, 165, 175, 190 and 215 by forfeit while both teams double forfeit 106 and 126.
