Winside boys wrestling led by Korbin Carlson in first, Stratton sellin places runner-up during home invite

After last competing on the road in late December, the Winside boys wrestling team hosted a home invitational to open the weekend.

From Winside Public Schools, 17 total boys teams were in action on Friday during the 56th Winside Wrestling Invite.

The Winside boys showcased six wrestlers finishing ninth with 59 points.

Randolph won the Winside boys invite with 152 points, Weeping Water followed in runner-up (134), Homer took third (114.5), Osmond placed fourth (102.5) and Winnebago rounded out the top five teams with 89.5 points.

Winside leaders were Korbin Carlson (150) with a first place finish and Stratton Sellin (144) took runner-up.

Other scoring came from Mason Edwards (138) and Asher Uttecht (157) while Aden Mielke (175) and Braxton Rastede (285) were also in action.
