Following a brief break from last Thursday, the Winside volleyball team went right back to work with road competition.
From Walthill, Winside visited the Blujays to open the week on Monday.
After splitting early sets, Winside held onto the four-set victory to improve to 4-6. Walthill fell to 3-11.
Scores of the match favored the visiting Wildcats 25-9, 23-25, 25-19, 25-13.
Freshman Bridget Marotz recorded a double-double with 16 kills and 14 digs along with a block; sophomore Hadleigh Schutt posted a team-high 19 assists to go along with six digs, nine kills and one block as senior Samantha Gubbels led the team in digs with 16.
Sophomore Katelyn Jaeger also had double figure kills with 11, four digs and one solo block.
Sophomore Ellie Topp (solo block/three digs) and junior Jerzi Carlson (nine digs) both added four kills. Other digs came from sophomore Raylyn Behmer who had 11 assists (eight digs) and sophomore Adrianna Miller (one).
Topp finished with five service aces followed by Marotz with four as Behmer, Schutt and Carlson all had two aces.
