With several area high school cross country programs now spending back-to-back weeks away from action, the Winside girls were able to run on a Friday afternoon in northeast Nebraska.

From Evergreen Hill Golf Course in Battle Creek on Oct. 2, the Wildcats finished eighth with 107 points. No boys competed.

In the girls division, Aleah Bilstein led Winside in 21st (22:38.1).

Along with Wayne sending nearly 30 junior high runners (results on 1B) to compete in the Pierce Twilight on Oct. 6, Winside also had two runners in action.

From the Pierce Community Golf Course, there were 10 girls teams and 12 boys teams.

For the Winside JH girls, Halle Dankert finished 62nd (17:05.31) while Breanna Fuchs took 81st (18:19.19).

One home match and one road match were on the calendar for Winside volleyball in early October.
