A 20-point road loss was not the start Tri County Northeast (Allen/Emerson-Hubbard) wanted to see to start their season, but will now look for improvement moving into their week two home contest.
The Wolfpack visited Bancroft-Rosalie on August 29 and dropped a 42-22 decision to begin 0-1.
Score at the half was 28-14 in favor of Bancroft-Rosalie with quarter scoring not available at the time of printing.
Touchdowns were posted by senior quarterback Thatcher Lamp who connected with junior Jaxon Hall (finished with three receptions for 85 yards, long of 30) and also junior Landyn Servine who hauled in a two-yard touchdown reception.
Junior Blake Kneifl also carried in a touchdown (finished with six carries for 17 yards, long of 10).
Hall and Kneifl both converted a pair of two-point conversion receptions.
Lamp led the Wolfpack in the passing game going 9-15 for 126 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He was also the top runner sprinting for 75 yards on 12 rushes (long of 22).
Junior Atlee Anderson (20 yards) and sophomore Braxten Sebade (10 yards) both hauled in one catch.
Defensive leaders were sophomore Knox Lamp with 10 tackles (five solo) followed by Sebade and Thatcher Lamp both with nine total tackles (four solo).
Servine added two tackles for loss among his three tackles (one solo).
Tri County Northeast will next host Bloomfield on Friday, September 5 at 7 p.m. from Emerson. This will also mark parent's night for football, girls golf and cross country.
