Wolfpack volleyball splits home triangular

With a jamboree match under their belt in Allen, the Tri County Northeast volleyball program played their first NSAA home matches of the season at Emerson-Hubbard on September 4.

During their home triangular, the Wolfpack were first swept by Humphrey-Linday (18-25, 20-25) before sweeping Homer (25-23, 25-19) to improve to then 2-1.

In the loss to Humphrey-Lindsay, junior Joslyn Mackling posted a team-high nine kills and six digs followed by senior Kiya Tornez with five kills and three digs.

Junior Emily Mitchell led the Wolfpack with 11 digs.

Sophomore Ally Belt totaled 15 assists and four digs.

During the victory over Homer, Mackling recorded a double-double with 12 kills and 12 digs while Tornez added 11 kills and seven digs.

Belt totaled 20 assists, three digs, three kills and three service aces.

The Tri County Northeast volleyball team also competed in the Howells-Dodge triangular on September 9 winning both matches in three sets. The Wolfpack won 14-25, 25-22, 25-22 against the host Jaguars and won 16-25, 25-23, 27-25 over Pender.

The Wolfpack return to action on September 11 at the Osmond triangular with Randolph starting at 5:30 p.m. and also hosts Omaha Nation from Emerson-Hubbard on September 15 at 6 p.m.
