A ground-breaking football team and a multiple national champion highlight the Class of 2023 for the Wayne State College Athletic Hall of Fame.
The 2023 Wayne State College Athletic Hall of Fame Class will be inducted during Hall of Fame Day activities on Saturday, Oct. 14.
Four individuals, one contributor and one team will be honored during the Wildcat home football game vs. Bemidji State at 12 p.m., with the Hall of Fame Banquet set for 5:30 p.m. that evening in the Kanter Student Center.
Advance tickets are required for the event and cost $40 per person and $12 for children and can be purchased by calling the WSC Alumni Office at (402) 375-7526 or registering online at www.wsc.edu/info/20489/get_involved/1474/hall_of_fame/3.
The 2023 WSC Athletic Hall of Fame class includes track and field standouts Paige Pollard Green and Michaela Dendinger Sweeney, football player Luke Hoffman, baseball player Marc Manganaro, the 2008 Wildcat football team and contributor Bill Melena.
