With the top four seeds earning a first round bye, both Wayne State College basketball teams will take part in the opening round of the NSIC Tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
Per a Saturday bracket release on Saturday, both Wayne State College teams have earned the #10 seed.
The Wayne State College men (16-12/10-12 NSIC) will visit #7 Winona State (19-9/14-8 NSIC) at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Earlier this season, Wayne State College won 68-63 in Wayne on December 7.
The Wayne State College women (11-15/8-14) will visit #7 MSU Moorhead (13-15/11-11 NSIC) at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Earlier this season, WSC suffered a 63-53 loss at MSU Moorhead on January 25.
NSIC quarterfinals are slated for Saturday and Sunday, March 1 – 2 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota while the league semifinals (March 3) and NSIC finals (March 4) are also in Sioux Falls.
