WSC drops four set match at Concordia-St. Paul, Romano with ninth double-double

A lone road NSIC match was held for #11 Wayne State College volleyball over the weekend.

From the Gangelhoff Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, #11 WSC played at #9 Concordia-St. Paul on Saturday.

The host Golden Bears secured the four set victory of 25-20, 20-25, 25-18, 25-21 over WSC.

CSP improved to 18-4 (13-1 NSIC) while the Wildcats fell to 19-5 (11-3 NSIC).

Molly Romano recorded her ninth double-double with 34 assists and 14 digs to go along with one kill while Maggie Brahmer (.429) followed with 14 kills, three blocks and two digs as Taya Beller (.379) added 14 kills, three digs and two blocks (one solo). Brooke Peltz led WSC in digs with 18.

Channatee Robles tallied seven kills and nine digs as Brooklyn Kusler tacked on six kills and seven digs. Other digs came from Anna Borner (eight), Allie Petry (three), Chloe Hanel (three) and Taylor Bunjer four blocks (two digs).

Borner finished with two service aces as Peltz had an ace.

Concordia-St. Paul outhit WSC, .258 to .188.

#11 Wayne State College will next host MSU Moorhead on Friday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. before welcoming Northern State on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 4 p.m.
