For a second time this fall, the Wayne State College home cross country course was the host site of collegiate action.
Back at the Wayne Country Club on Oct. 24, the 2025 NSIC Cross Country Championships stole the show.
The Wayne State College men took 11th with 280 points among the 14 teams.
WSC was led by senior Brody Lucas in 42nd place during a time of 26:51.40.
Freshman Lucas Frazier followed in 53rd at 27:13.77 while other scoring came from junior Brady Franzen (64th - 27:31.98), sophomore William Keller (88th - 28:05.79) and freshman Drew Martin (92nd - 28:14.9).
Additional Wildcat results were posted by freshman Jacob Greving (95th – 28:17.57), sophomore Ethan Walters (119th – 29:21.03), freshman Matt Richardson (132nd - 30:02.40), freshman Keaton Bowker (133rd – 30:04.42), sophomore Akron Jostand (138th – 30:33.59) and sophomore Gannon Walsh (139th – 30:55.2).
Augustana, for the 15th time in 16 years, was crowned team champion (27) well ahead of runner-up MSU Moorhead (73). Sophomore Jared Gregoire from MSU Moorhead won the men's 8k in a time of 24:57.92 among the 145 runners.
The Wayne State College women's and men's cross country program will return to action on Nov. 8 in Joplin, Missouri for the NCAA Central Region Championships. The Wildcat men will run at 11:15 a.m.
