Wayne State College women's soccer began a series of four straight home outings in late September.
From the WSC Soccer Pitch, WSC began with a 1-1 draw against Minnesota Duluth on Sept. 26 followed by a 1-0 victory over Bemidji State on Sept. 28.
The Wildcats are now 4-0-3 (3-0-1 NSIC) and are still without a loss on the season.
In the 1-1 draw against UMD, Rachel Davis scored on a penalty kick in the 73rd minute on her lone shot of the match.
Paige Pemberton posted a team-high three shots with two on goal for the Wildcats. Alexa Hofstetter allowed one goal and recorded five saves in 90 minutes in goal.
WSC lost the shot category, 14-13 including the Bulldogs using a 6-4 advantage on goal.
During the 1-0 win over the Beavers on Sunday, Abby Evers scored in the 41st minute thanks to an assist by Davis. Evers finished with the only shot on goal for WSC.
Both Morgan Mancuso and Alaina Sorensen finished with two shot attempts.
Hofstetter recorded 11 saves in 90 minutes in goal.
Bemidji State controlled the shot attempt category, 20-6 including 11-1 on goal.
The Wayne State College women's soccer team will next host Concordia-St. Paul on Friday, October 3 at 3 p.m. before welcoming Winona State on Sunday, October 5 at 1 p.m. for Senior Day.
