To say that Wayne State outfielder Lexie Loos is a tough out for opposing pitchers is a grand understatement.
The senior leadoff hitter for the Wildcats had another monster week in earning Northern Sun Conference Player of the Week honors. The lefthander hit a scorching .708 (17-of-24) with three doubles, two triples and 11 runs scored in weekend doubleheader sweeps against Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State. She was a perfect 7-for-7 in Sunday's doubleheader games against Bemidji State, and also went 4-for-4 in action last week at Southwest Minnesota State.
Loos has 69 hits in 138 at bats this season, raising her average to an even .500 heading into Tuesday's doubleheader with University of Sioux Falls. She is also batting .535 in 18 conference games so far this season, and has reached base safely in all 37 games this season, including 22 multi-hit games.
