Lee Eldon Brudigam was born Nov. 1, 1946 in Wayne to Marvin and Evelyn (Wood) Brudigam. Lee graduated from Wakefield High School, and on Oct. 20, 1973 he married Mary Stephan. Fifty years of marriage brought them three daughters, seven grandchildren, and a lifetime of memories. Lee adored each of his grandchildren, giving them each a quarter for their piggy-banks at every opportunity (every grandchild was his favorite).

Growing up on the farm, he was a man of the soil, a farmer first and always. He enjoyed spending time at the farm with family and helping on the family farm. Lee was a man of faith and always put others before himself.

Lee owned and operated his own construction business for over 35 years, spending most of his summers roofing. He was the definition of dependability and a hard work ethic. He would often be found with a hammer in his hand, whether he was building a toy for his daughters or adding a deck or bedrooms onto the back of their home. Lee was dedicated to his family and never missed a game, recital, or event of his daughters and grandchildren.  Lee was a Husker and New York Yankees fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He was an avid bowler and thoroughly enjoyed playing cards. Lee was always up before the sunrise, and always looked forward to coffee with the guys.

Survivors include his wife, Mary, of Wakefield; daughters: Susan (Chad) Metzler of Wayne and their children: Jordan, Kinslee, Matthew, and Myka Joy; Kristin (Andrew) Rosander of Tulsa, Oklahoma and their child: Hudson; and Lori (Nick) Dorcey of Hubbard and their children: Lilly and Peyton; his brother, Dean (JoAnn) Brudigam of Oakland; sister, Ave (Arden) Olson of Concord, and brother, Curt Brudigam of Wakefield; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
