Wayne Area Legacy Fund (WALF) has recently distributed funds to assist a number of groups in the community. The WALF distributes funds that represent the earnings from the endowment that has been invested with the fund. These funds go to projects and programs that benefit the community in a variety of ways. Involved in a check presentation at Rainbow World Childcare were (front) Lexi Gothier, Director and Jena Gerot, Assistant Director at Rainbow World and Julie Claybaugh and Mike Carnes, representing Wayne Area Legacy. (back) Lisel Powicki and Liz Onderstal, Rainbow World Board members and Bill Dickey with Wayne Area Legacy. The money will be used for technology upgrades at the facility. Involved in the presentation at Greenwood Cemetery were (left) Bill Dickey, Morgan Erwin and Karen Longe with the Legacy Fund and Greenwood Cemetery Board members Amy Bowers, Bob Liska, Jay O'Leary, Coleen Jeffries and Shelley Gilliland. The funds will go toward technology that will assist with grave location throughout the cemetery.
