Wayne students attend State FCCLA event

Nebraska State FCCLA took place April 7 - 9. Ten Wayne High School FCCLA members participated in the event this year.

Aside from participating in leadership workshops and an opportunity fair,  members participated in competitive events and the Wayne Chapter received several chapter awards.

The following students participated in STAR (students taking action for recognition) competition:

Alondra Vega - seventh place with a silver medal in Professional Presentation, Level 3;

Joselyn Saltzman - 10th place with a bronze medal in Focus on Children, Level 2.

Knowledge Tests:

Alondra Vega - Child Development and Parenting - Senior Category;

Joselyn Saltzman - FCCLA Knowledge - Junior Category;

Regan Fernau - FCCLA Knowledge - Senior Category;

Abigail Hawthorne - General FCS - Senior Category;

Anna Kaup - Personal Finance - Senior Category;

Rylynn Owen - Child Development and Parenting - Senior Category;

Hallie Heithold - Child Development and Parenting - Senior Category;

Sienna Klinetobe - General FCS - Senior Category.

Reagan Wiseman - Child Development and Parenting - Senior Category.

Chapter Awards:

Wayne received the Gold Medal Chapter award which is the highest chapter award, recognizing chapters that completed three projects in each of the following categories this year: membership, leadership, promoting FCCLA and competitive events and programs

Wayne FCCLA was also recognized at the State Leadership Conference for the Junior Mints Membership Award. This recognized our chapter for growing chapter membership with seventh, eighth and ninth grade students.
