Candidates for high school principal position to be interviewed

Wayne Community Schools is conducting interviews for the high school principal position. 

These were scheduled for Feb. 1, Feb. 5 and Feb. 6.

On each of those days, one candidate will interview with students, teachers, and administrators. There will also be a Community Meet and Greet at 4:30 p.m. in the high school commons area on the interview days. 

On Thursday, Brandi Bartels, the current 7-12 Principal/Activities Director at Randolph visited Wayne Community Schools and had interviews with administrators, students and staff. In addition to these interviews, she took part in a Meet & Greet with parents and other district patrons.

During that time she was able to share information about herself and her leadership styles, as well as expectations from the district.

Other candidates and their respective interviews include:

Monday, Feb. 5 - Kim Caniglia - High School Assistant Principal at Plattsmouth.
Tuesday, Feb. 6 - Russ Plager - Elementary Principal at Wayne.

"This will provide parents and community members the opportunity to meet the candidates and hear from them about their interest in the position at Wayne High School. We are looking forward to the interview process for this very important position," said Wayne Community Schools Superintendent Dr. Mark Lenihan.
