A thunderstorm couldn't stop the crowning of a 2023 Homecoming King and Queen for Wayne High School.
Following the sighting of lightning in the area, the Wayne High/Boone Central football game was halted.
This led to making the decision to move the coronation into Rice Auditorium on the Wayne State College campus.
Crowned Homecoming Queen was Liberty Titiml and crowned Homecoming King was Jefferson Brizuela.
