Homecoming candidates announced at Wayne High

A week of Homecoming activities is continuing at Wayne Community Schools.

Throughout the week, students of all ages have been experiencing homecoming festivities with Dress Up Days, pep rallies and motivational information from athletes.

Named to this year's Homecoming Court are:

Queen candidates —   Taytem Ellis, daughter of Jeff and Jill Ellis; 

Rylin Hall, daughter of Brandon and Kirby Hall;

Nyamalo Kantai daughter of Francis and Camille Kantai;

Amelia Legler, daughter of Kelly and Christian Legler; and

Olivia Mrsny, daughter of Kayla Jackson and Jason Mrsny.

King candidates — Calvin Ankeny, son of Dustin and Val Ankeny;

Kaden Keller, son of Heidi Keller and Bryce Meyer and Klinton and Stephanie Keller;

Will Leseberg, son of Kory and Lisa Leseberg;

Colson Nelsen, son of Kyle and Melissa Nelsen; and 

Gavin Redden, son of Gary and Molly Redden

Crown bearers will be Kollins Koch and Aiden Wragge. Placing the crowns will be king from last year, Jeff Brizuela, and queen, Liberty Titiml. 

Activities wrap up on Friday, Sept. 13 with Spirit Day. A Pep Rally will be held at Kern Track from 2 to 3:30 p.m. and coronation will take place following the football games.

On Saturday, Sept. 14 the Student Council set-up at Wayne State College at 2 p.m. and the Homecoming Dance will be held from 8-11 p.m.
