Hundreds of freshmen and transfer students, along with their families, gathered in the Willow Bowl on the Wayne State College campus last Friday for the annual Convocation. The program included remarks from Wayne State College President Dr. Marysz Rames. She welcomed the students and offered advice on how to make their time at Wayne State as enjoyable as possible. She also encouraged the students to become involved in the community as well through various groups and organizations. Also speaking to the students was Wayne Mayor Cale Giese and Student Senate President Addie Hejl. The convocation has become a tradition at WSC and is held in the Willow Bowl to mark the beginning of the students' college career, which will end with graduation in the same location.
