Cheri Rae (Marsh) Ishmael of Mesa, Arizona, was born on Feb. 13, 1946 in Nebraska and died Sunday, Sept.15, 2024.
Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 28 in Arizona
Cheri Rae (Marsh) Ishmael was raised in Wayne, and graduated from Wayne High School. During those years, her passions were cheerleading and playing the trumpet in the marching band. Following high school, she continued her education at Wayne State College and entered the workforce.
She soon developed a love for golf and traveling. This led her to Las Vegas, Nevada where she was blessed with a daughter (Wendy). There were a few stops along the way, but her work landed her in Arizona. She worked for BCBS of Arizona for many years before she retired. Her retirement was enjoyed traveling to numerous places, camping, dancing, playing the bongos, and making new friends. She will be remembered most for her dedication to family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Wendy (Dave) Powley; nieces, nephews, many cousins, and her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father (Opal and Wayne Marsh), brother (Jim Marsh), and husband (Gary Ishmael).
