Beginning Monday, May 23, the City of Wayne will begin work to replace the water main along the east side of Main Street from north of Seventh Street to 13th Street. Most of the work will involve boring and the only street closures may be along the side streets during working hours to accommodate the contractor's equipment.
Anyone who will experience a time where their water is shut off to make connections to the new water main will be contacted by the City and provided with a schedule for the work. Most outages are expected to be a half day or less. The project is scheduled to be completed by Aug. 1.
