Representatives of Providence Medical Center, the hospitals governoring board, the city of Wayne, Darland Construction and the Wayne Ambassadors were part of a ground breaking ceremony at the hospital on June 25. Work has already begun on a $13.5 million project which will include new construction, renovation and upgrades to the hospital's mechanical systems.
