In an unusual event, two houses in the area are being prepared for and moved this week.
Crews from Morrow's Inc. in Jackson are currently working to move the house that was located at 711 Main Street in Wayne.
The house will move to a location on Chicago Street in the southwest portion of Wayne.
Owned by the Wayne Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), the house will be renovated in the future and rented or sold.
The exact date of the move has not yet been determined.
A house that was once located northeast of Wayne is currently on its way to its new "home" three and one-half miles south of Wayne, along Highway 15.
Ensor Movers, Inc. moved the house along county roads on Thursday, crossing Highway 35 three miles east of Wayne.
The process is quite time-consuming as crews work to ensure no structures or power lines come in contact with the house.
