After months of planning and lots of hard work by volunteers, the 44th annual Wayne Chicken Show is underway.
The majority of today's (Friday, July 12) activities take place downtown Wayne with Main Street being blocked off to traffice after 2:30 p.m. The day culminates with a fireworks display from the southeast portion of town.
Saturday (July 13) includes the Chicken Show Parade and a variety of actities for all ages at Bressler Park through the early afternoon. Several bands will be providing musical entertainment, both at the park and at the Beaumont, just north of Wayne.
This year's festivites wrap up with the Last Cluck Car Show and vendors on Second Street, just west of Main Street and along Pearl Street.
