Biking their way West
An ambitious trio from Wakefield took off Wednesday afternoon on their 10-speed bikes with Colorado as their destination.
Thanks to the Wakefield Legion club's come-from-behind performances at the area baseball tournament at Wakefield, the three planned to be in Broken Bow Saturday night to see Wakefield compete in the first round of the state tourney.
The state tourney has special meaning for one of the bikers, Bob Eaton, since his brother Paul is Wakefield's coach. After that
rest, the bikers, who also include Paul Jensen and Bob Gustafson, will continue on to Colorado for a few days of vacation before
returning in time for classes at Wayne State College.
