Wayne Habitat for Humanity family has been selected

Wayne Habitat for Humanity committee members recently selected Charles and Melissa McCoy and family to live in the house that will be built on the corner of Fairgrounds Avenue and South Nebraska Street in Wayne.

The group has been working on the project for some time and with the help of the City of Wayne donating the 50 x 100 ft. lot, everything is progressing.

Needing around $50,000 for the project, the group has raised nearly $22,000 through donations.

Ground breaking is set for Sunday, Sept. 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the building site. The public is invited to enjoy food and entertainment.

A free will donation is planned.
