Innovation in highway paint

A highway paint made from soybeans is being tested in Wayne to see if it will outlast regular highway paints.

Inspecting the test strips painted on Main street near the south city limits are, Dr. John Barger, head of the physical chemistry section of the Midwest Research Institute, Kansas City, Missouri, which developed the paint, Henry Victor, Wayne street commissioner, Albert Kimmel, senior institute chemist and John Maberry, chemical technician for the institute.
