Firefighter Celebrated
Marking his fifty-seventh year with the Wayne Fire department, Charles Rees shares his eighty-first birthday cake with another longtime fireman, George Bornhoft-who has been a Wayne fireman for about 37 years.
Rees joined the department in 1904 and has been a continuous member since, although on the inactive list for a number of years.
He celebrated his birthday with other Wayne firemen at the fire hall last Tuesday.
